Aanaab, a Saudi EdTech platform, has secured an undisclosed investment from Rethink Education, a VC firm that focuses on education.
Aanaab offers teachers and educators in the Arab World a range of courses, training, and qualifications to advance their professional development. The platform currently has over 200,000 teachers and about 250 schools enrolled on its platform across 10 countries in the MENA region.
“Upskilling teachers is something we’re passionate about because it changes the lives of students around the world,” said Mounira Jamjoom, Aanaab CEO. “We can all remember a teacher who had a positive impact on our learning. Even in classrooms that have limited access to resources, a good teacher can still facilitate effective and impactful learning.”
Founded in 2019 by Mounira Jamjoom, Aanaab previously announced one investment round in 2020, when it raised $1.6M from Nour ElMaarfah company, Wamda, and angel investors.
